Henri Bussink

Henri Bussink is a researcher in the areas of labour market and education economics. His expertise lies mainly in conducting applied quantitative research, using micro-econometric techniques.

Within the Labour & Education cluster, Henri strengthens the research team with his knowledge of empirical research methods for conducting both descriptive and explanatory research, as well as impact analyses and policy evaluations. He has experience with analyzing cross-section, time series and panel data by means of estimating a variety of econometric models.

In July and September 2018, Henri completed the master’s programs Policy Economics and International Economics respectively at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. For his master's theses, he investigated the effect of the business cycle on transitions into and from self-employment on the Dutch labor market; and the effect of corporate tax rates in neighboring countries on the domestic corporate tax base. During his second master he also worked at the European Parliament in Brussels for a year.

At SEO, he is currently involved in the Leven Lang Ontwikkelen (LLO) analysis in which concrete scenarios are defined and calculated for a new system in which workers and job seekers can appeal to post-initial training during their working life.
