Siemen van der Werff MSc started with his studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam in 2003. Besides the courses in regular econometrical subjects, he also followed courses in the fields of monetary economy, international economy and regulation. During the first years of his study Siemen also worked as an exam invigilator at the HvA.

Applied (micro)econometrics has been the most important topic for Siemen during his Master studies. This resulted in his thesis about the choice behaviour of Dutch high school student, which has been written during an internship at SEO Economic Research. After completing this internship, Siemen has worked a few months as research-assistant at SEO, before he started working as a researcher in July 2008. Siemen is part of the Labour and Education section.
