During the last year of her study Economics at the University of Amsterdam José Mulder started to work as a researcher for the Competition & Regulation cluster of SEO Economic Research. After three years of working she decided she wanted to know more about legal issues and started to work on a PhD thesis at the University of Tilburg. With pleasure she writed her thesis about compensating victims of violent crime. She did this under guidance of renowned law professor Marc Groenhuijsen and renowned professor of Economics Eric van Damme. José will defense her thesis in 2012.  

In December 2011 José came back to SEO Economic Research, now at the Labour and Education cluster. Ze wanted to research a new topic and by specializing in Education issues she tries to contribute to society in a positive way.
