Emily van den Burg
Emily is an intern at SEO’s Global Economics and Development practice, with a strong background in environmental economics.
Following her bachelor’s in Environmental Science at Avans University of Applied Sciences, her interest in working at the interconnection between the environment and the economy led her to start the master Environmental Science with a major in Environmental Economics at Wageningen University. For her dissertation, she developed a comparative economic analysis studying the feasibility of the transference of offshore generated energy to shore as electrical energy and hydrogen.
At SEO, Emily is working on evaluations of policies and programmes aimed at combatting deforestation and improving access to energy and infrastructure.
