Lennart Kroon is a researcher at SEO, specialising in health care and social security. He has much experience with performing policy evaluations based on quantitative research.
Lennart is an econometrist and is largely occupied with quantitative analyses. He mostly makes use of large administrative microdatabase from the CBS and the UWV. With the help of these databases, he researched, for instance, the implications of the Participation Law for Young Disabled Persons. Furthermore, he was involved with the development and refinement of the distribution model for social security. During his studies and working life, Lennart has gained much experience and knowledge of economic and econometric models.
In addition to econometric analyses based on administrative data, Lennart has been involved with cost-benefit analyses, researching the social costs and benefits of SW company Pantar, for example. Furthermore, he has worked on multiple hospital mergers, conducting the analyses for patient flows and travel times. Besides quantitative research, Lennart also has experience with qualitative research, such as conducting interviews. For example, he engaged in conversations with municipalities concerning the implementation of social security.
In 2015, Lennart completed the master’s programme Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam. Within this programme he specialised in Mathematical Economics.
