Thijs Busschots
In 2017, Thijs started the bachelor Economics and Business Economics at the University of Utrecht. He spent the academic year of 2018-2019 in Rome, at the LUISS Guido Carlí university, after which he completed his bachelor in 2021. He continued his studies with the master Finance and Investments at the Rotterdam School of Management. During his work at the economics journal ESB, Thijs developed an interest in public economics after which he started the master Policy Economics at Erasmus School of Economics as a second master in 2022. At SEO, Thijs hopes to use his academic skills for applied economic research and further develop his research skills.
Thijs his main interests are in public economics, taxation, education, and causal methods.
