Hanneke Nijland
Hanneke Nijland is a junior researcher within the Education cluster at SEO Amsterdam Economics.
She previously worked at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) as an (economic) advisor. She started working at the ministry after completing the government’s traineeship for economists: BoFEB.
Hanneke completed the bachelor’s degree economics and business economics at the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam). Subsequently, she completed the master’s degree public policy economics at the University of Amsterdam. She wrote her master’s thesis at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. The thesis addressed the wage development and impact of a wage increase for Dutch primary and secondary education teachers.
