In this monitoring study, SEO Economic Research analyses Schiphol’s network quality and compares it with the network quality of competing airports in Western Europe and the Middle East. The study shows the extent to which Schiphol and its competitors are connected with the rest of the world, differentiating between direct and indirect connections. It also gives an impression of the quality of Schiphol’s hub function compared with its competitors, in terms of hub connectivity: how well are incoming and outgoing flights connected to each other?? Lastly, with reference to the Dutch state assurances it pays particular attention to the development of the Air France-KLM network at Schiphol and Paris Charles de Gaulle: is the network growth at the two hub airports balanced, or are there strong differences in the network development?
