In 2018, Koen started the bachelor Public Administration and Organizational Science at the University of Utrecht. In addition to his bachelor, he worked as a student-assistant at USBO Advies and started as a junior researcher at Datawerkplaats. At Datawerkplaats, he is researching how the Digital Twin can be used for civic participation. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree cum laude, he started the master Economic Policy in Utrecht. The focus on quantitative research within this master complements the qualitative skills from his bachelor. This master reinforced his interest in labour economics. Currently, he is doing a research internship at SEO, researching the effects of the (youth) minimum wage on inequality. In addition, he also works as a student-assistant on several projects.
