Daniëlla van de Langenberg
Daniëlla van de Langenberg has been working as a researcher at SEO Economic Research in the Social Security cluster since 2025. She has a background in statistical methods and data-driven policy analysis. She obtained her Research Master’s degree in Epidemiology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with a focus on statistics and health economics. Daniëlla completed her PhD at Utrecht University. Her doctoral research focused on the effects of night work and the impact of circadian disruptions on health. During this time, she gained extensive experience in analyzing large datasets and applying advanced analytical methods.
From 2018 to 2024, Daniëlla worked for the Dutch government. At the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW), where she conducted research on labor flexibility between 2018 and 2022, she promoted the use of innovative analytical methods, such as text mining. At the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS, Covid-19 Directorate) and during a secondment at Dienst Toeslagen (the Tax Authority’s Benefits Department), she gained significant experience in leveraging data to improve the quality of policy decisions and demonstrated how data-driven approaches can contribute to more effective solutions for societal challenges.
At SEO, Daniëlla will focus on projects related to social security usage and the income position of households.
