Joeri Athmer
Joeri Athmer is a researcher within the Health & Social Policy unit.
Joeri is an econometrician and especially engages in quantitative analysis. Joeri worked on several research projects in the domain of healthcare and social security, for instance on the distribution of municipal funds for social assistance and on risk adjustment for health insurers. Before he started at SEO, he worked as quantitative researcher at Significant APE. During this period he amongst others researched causes for the disadvantage of unemployment insurance benefits recipients with a non-western migration background and the effect of the cost-sharing standard on sharing living space. In addition, he was involved in the maintenance of the GGZ-regional model.
Joeri got his bachelor’s degree Econometrics & Operations Research at Tilburg University and his master’s degree Econometrics at Universiteit van Amsterdam. Within his master he specialized in Complexity and Economic Behaviour. He wrote his master thesis at Statistics Netherlands.
