Lucas Breuker
Lucas is a junior researcher with expertise in data science and the application of AI. He worked on various projects where he built AI tools to turn qualitative data into quantitative data, ready for statistical analysis.
Lucas obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics and business economics at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. During his bachelor, he studied in Seoul for five months and followed a specialization in financial economics as well as following extracurricular courses on software programming. In his thesis, he delved deeper into behavioral economics, focusing on the emotion of regret and its influence on consumption behavior in different cultures for different types of products.
He obtained his master’s degree in economics at Tilburg University where he followed a data science specialization. He wrote his master thesis while completing an internship at SEO. During this internship, he designed a program to automate the analysis of annual reports in PDF format using AI, specifically for evaluating compliance with a set of governance rules. He then statistically analyzed the accuracy and reliability of the results leading to a recommendation for further use of AI tools in this context.
