Mika Vissers

Mika is a junior researcher in the Labour and Social Security cluster. He has studied economics at Tilburg University, after which he joined SEO in 2025.

Mika graduated from his bachelor’s programme with distinction after completing his thesis regarding the relationship between immigration and unemployment in the Netherlands. He obtained his master’s degree cum laude after the successful defense of his thesis regarding the effect of information salience on health behaviour. During his studies, Mika has obtained broad economic and statistical knowledge, as well as research skills such as working with large datasets.

Within SEO, Mika has experience with topics such as pension schemes, public allowances, and other income-dependent benefits. In addition, he works on visualising and presenting research results, for example through interactive dashboards.
