Thomas Loots
Thomas Loots is a PhD mathematician and researcher within the Finance, Regulation and Governance cluster at SEO Amsterdam Economics.
Thomas studied mathematics at the University of Amsterdam and obtained his PhD at the same university in 2024. During his studies he mainly delved into probability theory and statistics. For his dissertation on algorithmic collusion he studied the extent to which competing algorithms are capable of forming cartels autonomously without violating competition law.
During his doctoral research, Thomas became increasingly interested in current economic issues. He now applies his analytical skills to such topics at SEO.
