Whitney Pattinaja
Whitney joined SEO Economic Research as a senior researcher in 2024. Whitney has over 10 years of experience leading and implementing projects for large organisations. She was a project manager at a strategy consultant specializing in process optimization, from diagnosis to implementation. In her research, Whitney uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods that lead to both incremental and large-scale insights and improvements.
Before SEO, Whitney worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company where she led projects across a variety of industries. Whitney specialized in solving complex issues often using (large) data sets. For example, Whitney improved efficiency and effectiveness at a large national bank by creating a test and learn environment followed by a national rollout. At a large metal company, she reduced waste at multiple points in the production process using artificial intelligence. She also improved effectiveness in customer service at a large insurance company by applying best practices. In addition to being a strategy consultant at McKinsey, Whitney has worked as a professional development manager where her focus was on the development of consultants.
Whitney Pattinaja holds an MBA specializing in Business Analytics from the Amsterdam Business School, an MSc in Applicable Mathematics from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Econometrics from Tilburg University. She has worked as a project manager (March 2013 – August 2022) and professional development manager (September 2022 – June 2024) at McKinsey & Company, with a 2-year gap between September 2015 and November 2017 during which she worked as a data scientist at Snappet Online Learning and as account manager for data partnerships at Picnic Online Supermarket.
