Evaluation of the Private Seed Sector Development (PSSD) programme in Burundi
SEO and MDF were commissioned by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) in Burundi to assess the impact of its Private Seed Sector Development (PSSD) programme. The primary goal of the programme was to elevate and transform the private seed value chain in Burundi, ensuring that farmers gain improved access to high-quality, certified seeds, thereby significantly enhancing their productivity and incomes.

Evaluation of PSD Apps and Toolkit
De Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) heeft SEO Economisch Onderzoek (SEO) en MDF Training & Consultancy (MDF) de opdracht gegeven om een midterm evaluatie van de Private Sector Development (PSD) Toolkit, en een eindevaluatie van haar voorganger, PSD Apps, uit te voeren. De algemene conclusie is dat de PSD Toolkit/Apps goed heeft gepresteerd op basis van de OECD-DAC evaluatiecriteria, met mogelijkheden voor verdere verbeteringen op het gebied van externe coherentie en continuïteit van resultaten.

Evaluation of PSD Apps and Toolkit
The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) commissioned SEO Amsterdam Economics (SEO) and MDF Training & Consultancy (MDF) to conduct a mid-term evaluation of its Private Sector Development (PSD) Toolkit and an end-line evaluation of its predecessor, PSD Apps. The overall finding is that the PSD Toolkit and PSD Apps have performed well against the OECD-DAC evaluation criteria thus far, with opportunities for further improvements in the areas of external coherence and sustainability.
