Mid-Term Evaluation of the IMF’s Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism Thematic Trust Fund (Phase III)
SEO Amsterdam Economics was commissioned by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to assess the performance and strategic direction of the third phase of the IMF’s Thematic Trust Fund for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT). This mid-term evaluation shows how the Trust Fund performed thus far in strengthening the capacities of IMF member countries to mitigate the macroeconomic consequences of money laundering and terrorist financing.

Mid-term Evaluation of the IMF’s Data for Decisions Fund (D4D)
This mid-term evaluation assessed how the IMF’s multi-donor Data for Decisions (D4D) Fund supported better macroeconomic policy decisions through improved statistics and capacity development. It found that the D4D Fund was well designed and generally effective, but that stronger focus on data use and ownership was needed to enhance the long-term impact of the fund.

Do higher earnings outweigh government’s calling?
We examine how wage differences influence the likelihood that public sector employees leave their jobs. The analysis considers both national and local government bodies. Our findings suggest that wage levels matter more in some branches of government than others.
