Study & Work 2012
The labor market position of higher educated starters has deteriorated, especially for HBO graduates. Because of the crisis graduates search longer for a job and they earn less. Yet things go better than during the last dip, and the alumni confidence remains up. However, the change of a permanent contract is historically low.
Choosing the right study is more important than ever. The differences between the programs are great and there is just no demand for some graduates at the labor market. Graduates from studies that traditionally have low labor market relevance are severely affected while others have no problem at all finding a job. Do you choose a study with good labor market prospects, or do you just follow the study that you like and settle for less? This is the choice you have and this report shows the consequences of these two options.
