Study & Work 2013
With the papers every day still full of reports on the crises in Europe, the seventeenth edition of the SEO/Elsevier Study & Work survey has now been published. Another edition with plenty of news, albeit the theme is same as last year’s: the choices you make will remain with you.
The average labour market position of highly qualified job starters deteriorated once again in 2013. Because of the crisis it takes them longer to find jobs, the chances of a permanent contract are historically low, and they are earning less than before. Confidence among alumni nevertheless remains strong. These averages, however, conceal major differences between the various qualifications. There are still enough qualifications with good job prospects, particularly in medicine and science & technology.
