In collaboration with Atlas, SEO Amsterdam Economics has further developed the distribution model for social assistance benefits for municipalities. This has resulted in a new distribution model for 2017. The reference date for the data used during this further development was 1 January 2014. For the determination of the provisional budgets for 2017, data should be used that are as up-to-date as possible. This takes into account the fact that a municipality’s population composition may alter, as a result of which the dependency on social assistance benefits within a municipality could (possibly) change. Most data from the distribution model can be updated to 31 December 2015.
