Arnout Jongeling is part of the team ‘Competition, aviation and innovation’ at SEO Amsterdam Economics. Arnout has been working at SEO since October 2019. He is specialized in air connectivity analysis, benchmarking airport charges and economic impact studies.
Arnout strengthens the team ‘Competition, aviation and innovation’ with his knowledge of empirical research methods. He has experience with analyzing cross-section data, time series and panel data. Arnout participated in a diverse range of projects. For the European Commission he investigated the economic developments of the EU air transport market. On behalf of ACI he studied the connectivity of European airports.
Arnout studied economics and law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. As part of his economics study he followed the master Policy Economics. In the master thesis that he has written to complete this master he has researched the effectiveness of non-financial incentives in university education. In this thesis Arnout made use of a ‘regression discontinuity design’.
Arnout also followed the master constitutional and administrative law. As part of this master he has written a thesis about the influence of King Willem III on governmental policy.
