Claudio Corte Coi
Claudio is a researcher in SEO’s Global Economics team, where he focuses on international macroeconomic research and evaluations of international development programmes. In his work at SEO, Claudio implements state-of-the-art qualitative and quantitative research methods to applied economic research questions and evaluations. Among other topics, he has been assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of macroeconomic policy reforms; subsidies and minimum prices; and capacity development programs conducted by the IMF and the World Bank.
Before joining SEO, Claudio spent a year at the European Central Bank, where he analysed the effects of non-conventional monetary policy instruments introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic on the lending behaviour of euro area banks. He also previously worked as business analyst for various FinTech and manufacturing companies in Europe. Claudio holds a master’s degree in Economics with a specialisation in International and Macroeconomic Policy from VU University Amsterdam. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in Physics from the University of Bologna (Italy).
