Evaluation of the 'In the Shadow of the Court' model

The Council for the Judiciary’s In the Shadow of the Court model is work in progress. It reveals important interrelationships. When it comes to policy changes such as increasing or reducing court fees, the model is not yet suitable to estimate the magnitude of the effects on economic welfare, but it is capable of calculating indications of the order of magnitude of the effects on the number of court cases. The study recommends developing the model still further.
