Joost Witteman

Joost Witteman is Head of Governance at SEO Amsterdam Economics. His expertise lies primarily in the fields of capital market regulation, corporate governance – including international corporate social responsibility – and international macroeconomics.

Joost works for a wide range of clients, including the Dutch government, international organisations such as the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund, and the private sector. As a project leader, Joost manages complex research projects. Many of these projects utilise both quantitative and qualitative methods. In addition, he has extensive experience in providing capacity building and technical assistance in various countries within and outside Europe.

Joost studied history and economics at the University of Amsterdam. During his studies, he specialised in monetary policy and the banking sector.
